Dr. Switaj is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist. She received her Master’s and Doctorate degrees in Clinical Psychology from Azusa Pacific University. During her doctoral program, Dr. Switaj gained clinical experience working as a school-based therapist, providing inpatient care and support at a children’s hospital, and working with Dr. Maher to provide assessment and therapy services. She also received additional training in trauma and using a trauma-focused approach. Dr. Switaj further gained valuable experience working as a School Psychology Intern completing evaluations to aid in the determination of a school-based eligibility for special education. She is passionate about working with children and adolescents and has experience with a range of presentations including developmental delays, anxiety, depression, trauma, adjustment, self-esteem, grief and loss, and many more. She strongly believes in the importance of creating an environment where a child always feels heard.
