Sidra Islam has a master’s degree in psychology and is currently a third-year doctoral student at Azusa Pacific University. She previously worked at the university’s Community Counseling Center, helping children and adolescents with a variety of challenges. Sidra uses proven therapy approaches like play therapy, trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT), and EMDR to support her clients. She also has experience working with children with autism and developmental disabilities, using tools like the Early Start Denver Model and Picture Exchange Communication System to help kids communicate and grow. Sidra’s background in developmental psychology research gives her a solid understanding of how children and families adapt and bounce back from tough situations. Sidra is committed to creating a safe, supportive space. She looks forward to working together with families to help children thrive. Sidra is supervised by Dr. Chrystal Maher, Licensed Clinical Psychologist PSY23065.
